In Friday's league game, the St. Patrick's Irish (North Platte, NE) football team smashed the host Perkins County Plainsmen (Grant, NE), by a score of 52-8.

The Irish (8-0) will now prepare for their game against Sutton (Sutton, NE). The Mustangs come into the non-league game with a 3-5 record. In their last game, Sutton overwhelmed Superior (Superior, NE), 60-20, in a league game.

The Plainsmen now sport a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host Cambridge for a non-league game on Thursday, October 19. Perkins County will battle a Trojans team coming off a 34-6 league loss to Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] (Eustis, NE). The Trojans record now stands at 4-4.
