The Old Lyme Wildcats held off the visiting Coginchaug Regional Blue Devils soccer squad by a margin of 2-1 in Friday's league match.
The Wildcats now sport a 4-4 record. They play next when they host Westbrook for a Shoreline match on Monday, October 16. Old Lyme will encounter a Knights squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Valley Regional (Deep River, CT). The Knights record now stands at 4-6.
With the loss, Coginchaug Regional drops to 0-8 on the season. The Blue devils host Amistad (New Haven, CT) to face the Wolves in a non-league contest on Monday, October 16. The Wolves enter the contest with a record of 0-10. Amistad lost 7-0 in their recent non-league contest against Wheeler (North Stonington, CT)
