The Middletown Blue Dragons volleyball team (Middletown, CT), went down 3-1 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Avon Falcons (Avon, CT)

The Falcons (7-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Southington (Southington, CT). The Blue Knights come into the Central Connecticut - West challenge with a 21-4 record. In their last challenge, Southington defeated Simsbury (Simsbury, CT), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Blue Dragons encounter the Platt Panthers (Meriden, CT) in a Central Connecticut - South challenge, on Monday, October 16. Middletown will attempt to move on its 6-7 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 7-8 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Edwin O. Smith (Storrs, CT).
