California High School Flag Football - Mt. Carmel nudges Helix

In Monday's non-league match, the host Mt. Carmel Sundevils flag football squad scored a close 6-0 victory over the Helix Highlanders.

The Sundevils (10-3) will now prepare for their match against Carlsbad (Carlsbad, CA). The Lancers go into the non-league battle with a 10-2 record. In their last battle, Carlsbad was tipped by Torrey Pines (San Diego, CA), 13-12, in a non-league battle.

The Highlanders now own a 14-2 record. They play next when they host Santana for a battle on Tuesday, October 14. Helix will play a Sultans team coming off a 44-0 league loss to Grossmont (El Cajon, CA). The Sultans record now stands at 0-8.
