Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Berkeley Prep Buccaneers (Tampa, FL) and the visiting Lakewood Spartans (St. Petersburg, FL), observed Berkeley Prep's volleyball team top Lakewood by a count of 3-0.
The Buccaneers (12-9) will now prepare for their contest against Academy of the Holy Names (Tampa, FL). The Jaguars enter the non-league battle with a 16-9 record. In their last battle, Academy of the Holy Names achieved victory over Tampa Bay HEAT (Brandon, FL), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
The Spartans now own a 0-16 record.
