Tennessee High School Football - Alcoa routs Union County

October 14, 2022: Alcoa, TN 37701

The Alcoa Tornadoes football squad scored 49 points and restricted the visiting Union County Patriots to 0 in the Tornadoes league victory on Friday.

The Tornadoes now possess a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Tyner Academy for a non-league battle on Friday, October 21. Alcoa will play a Rams squad coming off a 26-0 league win over Meigs County (Decatur, TN). The Rams record now stands at 8-0.

Coming up next, the Patriots play the Northview Academy Cougars (Kodak, TN) in a 3A Region 2 battle, on Friday, October 28. Union County will attempt to advance on its 1-8 season record. The Cougars enter the battle with a 3-6 record after their 50-13 league loss to Gatlinburg-Pittman (Gatlinburg, TN).
