Mississippi High School Football - Amite County gets by West Lincoln

October 14, 2022: Brookhaven, MS 39601

The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Amite County Trojans (Liberty, MS) and the host West Lincoln Bears (Brookhaven, MS), observed Amite County's football squad edge West Lincoln by a count of 22-15.

The Trojans now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they host Bogue Chitto for a 2A Region 7 contest on Saturday, October 22. Amite County will play a Bobcats squad coming off a 36-6 league loss to East Marion (Columbia, MS). The Bobcats record now stands at 6-2.

Coming up next, the Bears play the Loyd Star Hornets (Brookhaven, MS) in a 2A Region 7 contest, on Friday, October 21. West Lincoln will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Hornets go into the contest with a 5-3 record after their 47-7 non-league win over St. Andrew's Episcopal (Ridgeland, MS).
