The Asheboro Blue Comets football team (Asheboro, NC), was ripped 49-6 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting North Davidson Black Knights (Lexington, NC)
The Black Knights (3-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Central Davidson (Lexington, NC). The Spartans come into the 3A West Conference 47 challenge with a 7-1 record. In their last challenge, Central Davidson trounced Montgomery Central (Troy, NC), 42-14, in a league challenge.
The Blue Comets now sport a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ledford for a 3A West Conference 47 challenge on Friday, October 21. Asheboro will meet a Panthers team coming off a 28-20 league loss to Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 7-1.
