The Perquimans Pirates football team (Hertford, NC), was beaten 24-6 in Friday's league challenge with the host Bertie Falcons (Windsor, NC)

The Falcons (3-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Washington County (Plymouth, NC). The Panthers come into the 1A East Conference 2 challenge with a 3-5 record. In their last challenge, Washington County was beaten by Gates County (Gatesville, NC), 34-8, in a league challenge.

The Pirates now sport a 2-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gates County for a 1A East Conference 2 challenge on Friday, October 21. Perquimans will meet a Red Barons team coming off a 34-8 league win over Washington County (Plymouth, NC). The Red Barons record now stands at 4-4.
