The Bonnabel Bruins (Kenner, LA) football edged the host East Jefferson Warriors (Metairie, LA), 29-26 in Friday's league bout.
In their next game, the Bruins face the Grace King Fighting Irish (Metairie, LA) in a 5A District 8 bout, on Friday, October 21. Bonnabel will attempt to move on its 2-6 season record. The Fighting Irish enter the bout with a 1-6 record after their 40-18 league loss to Chalmette (Chalmette, LA).
The Warriors (3-3) will now prepare for their bout against West Jefferson (Harvey, LA). The Buccaneers enter the 5A District 8 bout with a 3-4 record. In their last bout, West Jefferson was nudged by John Ehret (Marrero, LA), 18-14, in a league bout.
