The Lamar Consolidated Mustangs football team (Rosenberg, TX), was beaten 17-3 in Friday's league challenge with the host Brenham Cubs (Brenham, TX)

The Cubs (4-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Rudder (Bryan, TX). The Rangers come into the 5A-2 Region III District 10 challenge with a 2-5 record. In their last challenge, Rudder was beaten by Lake Creek (Montgomery, TX), 51-3, in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now sport a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they host Randle for a 5A-2 Region III District 10 challenge on Saturday, October 22. Lamar Consolidated will meet a Lions team coming off a 34-28 league win over Montgomery (Montgomery, TX). The Lions record now stands at 3-4.
