The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Liberty Lightning (North Liberty, IA) and the host Burlington Grayhounds (Burlington, IA), observed Liberty's football squad edge Burlington by a count of 29-28.

The Lightning now own a 7-1 record. They play next when they host Clinton for a 4A District 3 contest on Friday, October 21. Liberty will encounter a River Kings squad coming off a 49-26 league win over Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, IA). The River Kings record now stands at 2-6.
