In Friday's league game, the Clarke Prep Gators (Grove Hill, AL) football team smashed the host Pickens Academy Pirates (Carrollton, AL), by a final score of 52-14.
The Gators (6-2) will now prepare for their game against Patrician Academy (Butler, AL). The Saints come into the AISA AA Region II game with a 8-0 record. In their last game, Patrician Academy overwhelmed Escambia Academy (Atmore, AL), 52-13, in a league game.
The Pirates now hold a 2-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Banks Academy for a AISA AA Region II game on Friday, October 21. Pickens Academy will battle a Jets team coming off a 22-6 non-league loss to Jackson Academy (Jackson, AL). The Jets record now stands at 4-4.
