The crowd at Friday's league contest between the East Union Urchins (Blue Springs, MS) and the host Myrtle Hawks (Myrtle, MS), observed East Union's football squad thwart Myrtle by a tally of 48-17.

The Urchins now possess a 3-5 record. They play next when they host Potts Camp for a 2A Region 1 contest on Friday, October 21. East Union will play a Cardinals squad coming off a 59-0 league loss to Baldwyn (Baldwyn, MS). The Cardinals record now stands at 5-4.

Coming up next, the Hawks play the Walnut Wildcats (Walnut, MS) in a 2A Region 1 contest, on Saturday, October 22. Myrtle will attempt to advance on its 2-5 season record. The Wildcats go into the contest with a 3-5 record after their 32-26 league loss to Belmont (Belmont, MS).
