In Friday's non-league game, the Cassadaga Valley/Falconer/Maple Grove Golden Cougars (Falconer, NY) football team smashed the visiting Silver Creek/Forestville Central Black Knights (Silver Creek, NY), by a final score of 42-7.

The Golden Cougars (5-2) will now prepare for their game against Southwestern (Jamestown, NY). The Trojans come into the non-league game with a 5-2 record. In their last game, Southwestern overwhelmed Allegany-Limestone (Allegany, NY), 19-6, in a league game.

The Black Knights now hold a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Salamanca for a Section 6 C - South game on Friday, October 21. Silver Creek/Forestville Central will battle a Warriors team coming off a 48-15 non-league win over Eden/North Collins (Eden, NY). The Warriors record now stands at 5-2.
