Texas High School Football - Weatherford Christian held off by First Baptist

In Friday's league game, the First Baptist Saints (Dallas, TX) football team tipped the visiting Weatherford Christian Lions (Weatherford, TX), by a final score of 50-49.

The Saints (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Lubbock Christian (Lubbock, TX). The Eagles go into the TAPPS Division IV District 1 contest with a 6-1 record. In their last contest, Lubbock Christian tipped Bishop Gorman (Tyler, TX), 67-0, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Lions play the Temple Christian Eagles (Fort Worth, TX) in a TAPPS Division IV District 1 contest, on Friday, October 21. Weatherford Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 6-1 record after their 42-14 league loss to Sacred Heart (Muenster, TX).
