In Friday's league match, the host Sands Mustangs football squad scored a good 62-54 victory over the Grady Wildcats.
In their next game, the Mustangs clash with the Borden County Coyotes (Gail, TX) in a 1A 6 Man 1 Region II District 7 (6 Man) match, on Friday, October 21. Sands will attempt to move on its 2-6 season record. The Coyotes enter the match with a 4-3 record after their 81-36 league loss to Garden City (Garden City, TX).
The Wildcats (2-6) will now prepare for their match against Rankin (Rankin, TX). The Red Devils enter the 1A 6 Man 1 Region II District 7 (6 Man) match with a 6-1 record. In their last match, Rankin ran past Sands (Ackerly, TX), 56-8, in a league match.
