In Friday's league match, the host Grant Lancers football squad scored a good 26-17 victory over the Verdugo Hills Dons.

In their next game, the Lancers clash with the Arleta Mustangs (Arleta, CA) in a East Valley match, on Friday, October 21. Grant will attempt to move on its 3-5 season record. The Mustangs enter the match with a 3-5 record after their 13-7 league loss to Poly (Sun Valley, CA).

The Dons (1-6) will now prepare for their match against Chavez (San Fernando, CA). The Eagles enter the East Valley match with a 1-5 record. In their last match, Chavez dropped by Monroe (North Hills, CA), 15-14, in a league match.
