The Poyen Indians football squad scored 47 points and limited the host Lafayette County Cougars to 18 in the Indians league win on Friday.

The Indians now possess a 5-3 record. They play next when they host Dierks for a 2A Region 3 battle on Friday, October 21. Poyen will play a Outlaws squad coming off a 48-33 league win over Foreman (Foreman, AR). The Outlaws record now stands at 7-1.

Coming up next, the Cougars play the Drew Central Pirates (Monticello, AR) in a non-league battle, on Friday, October 21. Lafayette County will attempt to advance on its 0-7 season record. The Pirates go into the battle with a 2-5 record after their 42-0 league loss to Barton (Lexa, AR).
