Mississippi High School Football - Loyd Star overwhelms St. Andrew's Episcopal

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Loyd Star Hornets (Brookhaven, MS) and the visiting St. Andrew's Episcopal Saints (Ridgeland, MS), observed Loyd Star's football squad bounce St. Andrew's Episcopal by a count of 47-7.

The Hornets now own a 5-3 record. They play next when they host West Lincoln for a 2A Region 7 contest on Friday, October 21. Loyd Star will encounter a Bears squad coming off a 22-15 league loss to Amite County (Liberty, MS). The Bears record now stands at 0-8.

Coming up next, the Saints encounter the Central Hinds Academy Cougars (Raymond, MS) in a non-league contest, on Friday, October 21. St. Andrew's Episcopal will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Cougars go into the contest with a 5-4 record after their 20-12 league loss to Copiah Academy (Gallman, MS).
