In Friday's league game, the Monroe Academy Volunteers (Monroeville, AL) football team knocked off the visiting Morgan Academy Senators (Selma, AL), by a score of 28-8.
The Volunteers (3-6) will now prepare for their game against Autauga Academy (Prattville, AL). The Generals come into the AISA AAA game with a 3-4 record. In their last game, Autauga Academy was dropped by Glenwood (Phenix City, AL), 49-13, in a league game.
The Senators now sport a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they host Glenwood for a AISA AAA game on Friday, October 21. Morgan Academy will battle a Gators team coming off a 49-13 league win over Autauga Academy (Prattville, AL). The Gators record now stands at 5-3.
