Illinois High School Football - Morris overwhelms Ottawa

October 14, 2022: Morris, IL 60450

The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Morris Redskins (Morris, IL) and the visiting Ottawa Pirates (Ottawa, IL), observed Morris's football squad bounce Ottawa by a tally of 59-7.

The Redskins now possess a 7-1 record. They play next when they travel to Sycamore for a Kishwaukee River/Interstate 8 - White contest on Friday, October 21. Morris will play a Spartans squad coming off a 28-0 league win over LaSalle-Peru (LaSalle, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 8-0.

Coming up next, the Pirates play the Woodstock Blue Streaks (Woodstock, IL) in a Kishwaukee River/Interstate 8 - White contest, on Friday, October 21. Ottawa will attempt to advance on its 4-4 season record. The Blue Streaks go into the contest with a 2-6 record after their 30-6 non-league loss to Johnsburg (Johnsburg, IL).
