The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Mt. Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, TX) and the visiting Nacogdoches Dragons (Nacogdoches, TX), observed Mt. Pleasant's football squad bounce Nacogdoches by a tally of 45-13.

The Tigers now possess a 2-5 record. They play next when they travel to Whitehouse for a 5A-2 Region II District 8 contest on Friday, October 21. Mt. Pleasant will play a Wildcats squad coming off a 56-42 league win over Hallsville (Hallsville, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-1.

Coming up next, the Dragons play the Texas Tigers (Texarkana, TX) in a 5A-2 Region II District 8 contest, on Friday, October 21. Nacogdoches will attempt to advance on its 1-7 season record. The Tigers go into the contest with a 6-1 record after their 42-35 league win over Marshall (Marshall, TX).
