In Friday's league match, the host Ponaganset Chieftains football squad scored a good 28-8 victory over the Narragansett Mariners.

In their next game, the Chieftains clash with the Mt. Hope Huskies (Bristol, RI) in a Division III-B match, on Friday, October 21. Ponaganset will attempt to move on its 4-2 season record. The Huskies enter the match with a 2-4 record after their 34-13 league loss to Moses Brown (Providence, RI).

The Mariners (1-5) will now prepare for their match against Rogers (Newport, RI). The Vikings enter the Division III-B match with a 3-3 record. In their last match, Rogers ran past Pilgrim (Warwick, RI), 36-16, in a league match.
