North Carolina High School Football - Weddington knocks off Sun Valley

The Weddington Warriors football squad scored 42 points and limited the host Sun Valley Spartans to 21 in the Warriors league win on Friday.

The Warriors now possess a 7-1 record. They play next when they travel to Cuthbertson for a 4A West Conference 58 battle on Friday, October 21. Weddington will play a Cavaliers squad coming off a 42-9 league loss to Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 2-6.

Coming up next, the Spartans play the Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) in a 4A West Conference 58 battle, on Friday, October 21. Sun Valley will attempt to advance on its 3-5 season record. The Mavericks go into the battle with a 4-4 record after their 54-7 league win over Piedmont (Monroe, NC).
