The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Taft Toreadors (Woodland Hills, CA) and the host Burroughs Bears (Burbank, CA), saw Taft's volleyball squad beat Burroughs by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Taft upgrades its record to 35-8 on the year. The Toreadors travel to San Pedro (San Pedro, CA) to play the Pirates in a non-league bout on Saturday, October 15. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 20-7. San Pedro won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Gardena (Gardena, CA)

The Bears now own a 7-16 record. They play next when they travel to Santa Barbara for a non-league bout on Thursday, October 20. Burroughs will play a Dons squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Rio Mesa (Oxnard, CA). The Dons record now stands at 23-8.
