In Friday's non-league contest, the Lyons Lions (LaGrange, IL) volleyball squad knocked off the host Hersey Huskies (Arlington Heights, IL), by a margin of 2-0.

Next up, the Lions battle the Sandburg Eagles (Orland Park, IL) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, October 15. Lyons will attempt to better on its 24-5 season record. The Eagles come into the contest with a 19-13 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Riverside-Brookfield (Riverside, IL).

With the loss, Hersey drops to 18-7 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Riverside-Brookfield (Riverside, IL) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league contest on Saturday, October 15.
