In Saturday's league game, the Beekmantown Eagles (Plattsburgh, NY) football team smashed the host Saranac Lake Red Storm (Saranac Lake, NY), by a score of 40-6.

The Eagles (4-3) will now prepare for their game against Gouverneur (Gouverneur, NY). The Wildcats come into the non-league game with a 6-0 record. In their last game, Gouverneur overwhelmed Massena (Massena, NY), 62-0, in a league game.

The Red Storm now sport a 1-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Peru for a Section 7 game on Friday, October 20. Saranac Lake will meet a Nighthawks team coming off a 50-34 league win over Moriah (Port Henry, NY). The Nighthawks record now stands at 5-1.
