The Glen Ridge Ridgers (Glen Ridge, NJ) football nudged the visiting Verona Hillbillies (Verona, NJ), 8-7 in Saturday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Ridgers clash with the Shabazz Bulldogs (Newark, NJ) in a Super - National Red bout, on Friday, October 20. Glen Ridge will attempt to move on its 5-3 season record. The Bulldogs enter the bout with a 4-3 record after their 44-6 non-league win over Central (Newark, NJ).

The Hillbillies (2-6) will now prepare for their bout against Hanover Park (East Hanover, NJ). The Hornets enter the Super - American Gold bout with a 5-2 record. In their last bout, Hanover Park was nudged by Pequannock (Pompton Plains, NJ), 31-24, in a non-league bout.
