The Hammond Golden Bears football team (Columbia, MD), was knocked off 27-0 in Saturday's league challenge with the visiting Long Reach Lightning (Columbia, MD)
The Lightning (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Reservoir (Fulton, MD). The 'Gators come into the Howard County challenge with a 5-2 record. In their last challenge, Reservoir was knocked off by Wilde Lake (Columbia, MD), 6-0, in a league challenge.
The Golden Bears now sport a 0-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Atholton for a Howard County challenge on Thursday, October 19. Hammond will meet a Raiders team coming off a 27-20 league loss to Oakland Mills (Columbia, MD). The Raiders record now stands at 4-3.
