In Saturday's non-league game, the Leavitt Hornets (Turner, ME) football team knocked off the host Thornton Academy Trojans (Saco, ME), by a final score of 35-21.

The Hornets (8-1) will now prepare for their game against Cheverus (Portland, ME). The Stags come into the C South game with a 8-1 record. In their last game, Cheverus toppled Westbrook (Westbrook, ME), 27-22, in a non-league game.

The Trojans now hold a 5-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bedford for a non-league game on Friday, October 20. Thornton Academy will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 46-7 non-league win over Concord (Concord, NH). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-0.
