The Sam Houston Hurricanes football squad scored 28 points and limited the visiting McCollum Cowboys to 22 in the Hurricanes league win on Saturday.

The Hurricanes now possess a 5-2 record. They play next when they travel to Brackenridge for a 5A-2 Region IV District 14 battle on Friday, October 20. Sam Houston will play a Eagles squad coming off a 55-7 league loss to Lanier (San Antonio, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 0-7.

Coming up next, the Cowboys play the Jefferson Mustangs (San Antonio, TX) in a 5A-2 Region IV District 14 battle, on Friday, October 20. McCollum will attempt to advance on its 4-3 season record.
