The Avon Old Farms Beavers soccer team scored 8 points and limited the host Hopkins Hilltoppers to 0 in the Beavers non-league victory on Saturday.
Next, the Beavers face the Taft School Big Red (Watertown, CT) in a NEPSAC Freelance contest, on Wednesday, October 18. Avon Old Farms will attempt to better on its 6-1 season record. The Big Red enter the contest with a 6-0 record after their 3-3 non-league Worcester Academy (Worcester, MA).
The Hilltoppers now have a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hamden Hall Country Day for a Fairchester contest on Monday, October 16. Hopkins will face a team coming off a 10-0 league loss to St. Luke's (New Canaan, CT). The record now stands at 0-2.
