The Grinnell Tigers held off the visiting Albia Blue Demons volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Tigers now have a 9-23 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Liberty for a non-league test on Tuesday, October 17. Grinnell will confront a Comets team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Bellevue (Bellevue, IA). The Comets record now stands at 29-11.
The Blue Demons (18-14) will now prepare for their test against Pella Christian (Pella, IA). The Eagles enter the non-league test with a 13-17 record. In their last test, Pella Christian was nudged by Indianola (Indianola, IA), 2-0, in a league test.
