In Saturday's non-league contest, the McGill-Toolen Yellowjackets (Mobile, AL) volleyball squad were winner over the host Alexandria Valley Cubs (Alexandria, AL), by a margin of 2-0.

Next up, the Yellowjackets battle the Vestavia Hills Rebels (Vestavia Hills, AL) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, October 14. McGill-Toolen will attempt to better on its 38-8 season record. The Rebels go into the contest with a 24-10 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Homewood (Homewood, AL).

With the loss, Alexandria moves to 49-7 on the year. The Valley cubs travel to Mountain Brook (Birmingham, AL) to battle the Spartans in a non-league contest on Saturday, October 14. The Spartans go into the contest with a record of 32-4. Mountain Brook won 3-0 in their recent league contest against Woodlawn (Birmingham, AL)
