The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Philomath Warriors (Philomath, OR) and the host Ashland Grizzlies (Ashland, OR), saw Philomath's volleyball squad nip Ashland by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Philomath upgrades its record to 12-8 on the year. The Warriors travel to West Salem (Salem, OR) to play the Titans in a non-league bout on Saturday, October 14. The Titans go into the bout with a record of 12-10. West Salem lost 3-0 in their recent league bout against Sprague (Salem, OR)

The Grizzlies now own a 6-16 record. They play next when they host North Eugene for a 5A Midwestern bout on Tuesday, October 17. Ashland will play a Highlanders squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Thurston (Springfield, OR). The Highlanders record now stands at 4-18.
