The Tigers (5-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Tularosa (Tularosa, NM). The Wildcats enter the 2A District 3 challenge with a 10-5 record. In their last challenge, Tularosa was nudged by Texico (Texico, NM), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Lions meet the Pecos Panthers (Pecos, NM) in a 2A District 6 challenge, on Tuesday, October 17. Santa Rosa will attempt to move on its 7-9 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 4-11 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Penasco (Penasco, NM).
