In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Elgin Maroons volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Elgin Academy Hilltoppers.

The Maroons (5-26) will now prepare for their battle against Glenbard South (Glen Ellyn, IL). The Raiders come into the Upstate Eight battle with a 13-17 record. In their last battle, Glenbard South achieved victory over Evanston (Evanston, IL), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Hilltoppers (1-21) will now prepare for their test against Schaumburg Christian (Schaumburg, IL). The Conquerors enter the non-league test with a 16-7 record. In their last test, Schaumburg Christian gained a win over Christian Life (Rockford, IL), 2-0, in a non-league test.
