Illinois High School Volleyball - Morton tips Illinois Valley Central

Morton Potters (Morton, IL) supporters left the game in high spirits Saturday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the host Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts (Chillicothe, IL), 2-1 in a non-league match.

Next up, the Potters battle the Dunlap Eagles (Dunlap, IL) in a Mid-Illini match, on Tuesday, October 17. Morton will attempt to advance on its 24-7 season record. The Eagles come into the match with a 20-10 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Galesburg (Galesburg, IL).

With the loss, Illinois Valley Central drops to 21-10 on the campaign. The Grey ghosts travel to Richwoods (Peoria, IL) to battle the Knights in a non-league match on Monday, October 16. The Knights come into the match with a record of 11-11. Richwoods lost 2-0 in their recent non-league match against LaSalle-Peru (LaSalle, IL)
