In Saturday's non-league contest, the Loyola Academy Ramblers (Wilmette, IL) volleyball team defeated the host Oak Forest Bengals (Oak Forest, IL), by a count of 2-0.

The Ramblers (20-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Providence Catholic (New Lenox, IL). The Celtics come into the non-league challenge with a 22-8 record. In their last challenge, Providence Catholic defeated De La Salle (Chicago, IL), 2-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Bengals encounter the Plainfield South Cougars (Plainfield, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 14. Oak Forest will attempt to move on its 18-10 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 17-10 record after their 2-1 league win over West Aurora (Aurora, IL).
