Alabama High School Volleyball - Sylacauga can't hold off Mary G. Montgomery

In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Mary G. Montgomery Vikings volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Sylacauga Aggies.

The Vikings (9-22) will now prepare for their battle against Baker (Mobile, AL). The Hornets come into the 7A Area 1 battle with a 1-17 record. In their last battle, Baker was edged by Auburn (Auburn, AL), 3-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Aggies clash with the Central of Clay County Volunteers (Lineville, AL) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, October 19. Sylacauga will attempt to advance on its 27-17 season record. The Volunteers come into the battle with a 10-10 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Wadley (Wadley, AL).
