The Rockets (17-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Springfield (Springfield, IL). The Senators come into the Central State Eight challenge with a 14-13 record. In their last challenge, Springfield defeated Mt. Pulaski (Mt. Pulaski, IL), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Dragons encounter the Limestone Rockets (Bartonville, IL) in a Mid-Illini challenge, on Tuesday, October 17. Pekin will attempt to move on its 11-16 season record. The Rockets come into the challenge with a 21-10 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to LaSalle-Peru (LaSalle, IL).
