Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the Newton Railroaders (Newton, KS) and the visiting Andover Central Jaguars (Andover, KS), saw Newton's soccer squad knock off Andover Central by a count of 3-1.

The Railroaders (7-4) will now prepare for their battle against South (Salina, KS). The Cougars enter the non-league battle with a 11-1 record. In their last battle, South tipped Valley Center (Valley Center, KS), 2-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Jaguars battle the Salina Central Mustangs (Salina, KS) in a Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division II battle, on Thursday, October 17. Andover Central will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Mustangs enter the battle with a 0-12 record after their 8-0 league loss to Eisenhower (Goddard, KS).
