Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the St. Anthony's Friars (Melville, NY) and the host Manhasset Indians (Manhasset, NY), saw St. Anthony's's soccer squad hold off Manhasset by a count of 1-0.

The Friars (4-3) will now prepare for their battle against Kellenberg Memorial (Uniondale, NY). The Firebirds enter the NSCHAA battle with a 13-5 record. In their last battle, Kellenberg Memorial tipped St. John the Baptist (West Islip, NY), 3-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Indians battle the Garden City Trojans (Garden City, NY) in a battle, on Thursday, October 17. Manhasset will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Trojans enter the battle with a 5-0 record after their 3-1 league win over Hewlett (Hewlett, NY).
