The Cuba Wildcats softball team scored 23 runs and held the host Newburg Wolves to 8 in the Wildcats non-league win on Monday.

The Wildcats now sport a 2-19 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ursuline Academy for a non-league battle on Wednesday, October 16. Cuba will confront a Bears team coming off a 14-5 non-league loss to Kirkwood (Kirkwood, MO). The Bears record now stands at 3-10.

With the loss, Newburg moves to 0-12 on the season. The Wolves travel to Naylor (Naylor, MO) to confront the Eagles in a non-league battle on Saturday, October 19. The Eagles come into the battle with a record of 0-13. Naylor lost 15-0 in their recent non-league battle against Central (Cape Girardeau, MO)
