In Monday's non-league match, the visiting Jackson Fighting Indians softball team scored a nice 14-6 victory over the Kelly Hawks.

The Fighting Indians (28-9) will now prepare for their match against Mehlville (St. Louis, MO). The Panthers go into the non-league match with a 5-17 record. In their last match, Mehlville was routed by Hazelwood West (Hazelwood, MO), 11-1, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Hawks battle the Jefferson Blue Jays (Festus, MO) in a Class 2 District 3 match, on Thursday, October 17. Kelly will attempt to better on its 15-14 season record. The Blue Jays go into the match with a 9-16 record after their 12-5 non-league loss to North County (Bonne Terre, MO).
