In Monday's non-league challenge, the visiting Urbana Hawks volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Boonsboro Warriors.

The Hawks (9-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Frederick (Frederick, MD). The Cadets come into the MVAL - Piedmont challenge with a 6-4 record. In their last challenge, Frederick edged Maryland School for the Deaf (Frederick, MD), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Warriors play the Catoctin Cougars (Thurmont, MD) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, October 15. Boonsboro will attempt to upgrade on its 8-2 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 2-7 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Middletown (Middletown, MD).
