In Monday's non-league match, the Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC) volleyball squad prevailed the visiting Burns Bulldogs (Lawndale, NC), by a count of 3-0.

Next up, the Wildcats confront the Rosman Tigers (Rosman, NC) in a Western Highlands 1A/2A match, on Thursday, October 17. Draughn will attempt to move on its 14-6 season record.

The Bulldogs (10-8) will now prepare for their match against East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC). The Warriors go into the Southern Piedmont 1A/2A game with a 14-5 record. In their last game, East Gaston gained a win over Shelby (Shelby, NC), 3-0, in a league game.
