In Tuesday's non-league game, the Groves Rebels (Garden City, GA) flag football team edged the host Johnson Atomsmashers (Savannah, GA), by a tally of 7-0.
In their next game, the Rebels battle the Beach Bulldogs (Savannah, GA) in a D2 Area 2 game, on Thursday, October 16. Groves will attempt to better on its 7-2 season record. The Bulldogs enter the game with a 0-1 record after their 31-0 non-league loss to St. Vincent's (Savannah, GA).
The Atomsmashers (0-6) will now prepare for their bout against Savannah Country Day (Savannah, GA). The Hornets go into the D1 Area 2 bout with a 3-2 record. In their last bout, Savannah Country Day nudged Statesboro (Statesboro, GA), 14-0, in a non-league bout.
