Marriotts Ridge Mustangs (Marriottsville, MD) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer squad prevail over the visiting Hammond Golden Bears (Columbia, MD), 4-0 in a non-league outing.

The Mustangs (2-5) will now prepare for their outing against Howard (Ellicott City, MD). The Lions go into the Class 3A North II outing with a 6-3 record. In their last outing, Howard got by Mt. Hebron (Ellicott City, MD), 2-0, in a non-league outing.

In their next game, the Golden Bears clash with the Mt. Hebron Vikings (Ellicott City, MD) in a Class 2A West II test, on Friday, October 17. Hammond will attempt to advance on its 0-10 season record. The Vikings come into the test with a 6-2 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Howard (Ellicott City, MD).
